I had barely heard of what dropshipping is when I was faced with a situation to buy genuine Havana cigars for a party. I knew dropshipping stores could be good sources of genuine goods but they were all online which was worrying me. Also I was a bit skeptic as to whether they live up to the promise of genuine products and cheap rates which even the established retailers hardly can.

You must look at dropshipping in really different terms to understand its benefits. In plain corporate terminology dropshipping means nothing more than supply chain management system reinvented to accommodate retailers and consumers into large networks otherwise usually dominated by manufacturers and/or wholesalers.

As you know, consumers can’t approach manufacturers/wholesalers, for example, to buy genuine cigars at cheap prices. Dropshippers position themselves in between you and manufacturers or wholesalers to organize retail sale at wholesale prices.
